How many tasks does the onSET obtain? How long does the test take?
The onSET has eight tasks. Each one of them consists of a gap text with 20 gaps. For each text, you have a maximum of five minutes. The total duration of the test is a maximum of 40 minutes.
How do I prepare myself?
Before you take the onSET, you can familiarise yourself with the test format. To do this, you may work through the sample test. It consists of four texts that look exactly like the onSET.
How do I register for the test?
To take the onSET, you must arrange an appointment. This appointment can be made wie our contact form. You may find the button to contact us at the end of this page. You may also reach out to us via phone (+49 (0) 89 22 11 15) or send an e-mail (info@cambridgeinstitut.de).
How are my answers assessed? How do I receive my result?
You will receive one point for each correct completion of a gap. Your result is assigned to a level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (A2 to C1) based on the total number of points. The score and CEFR level are displayed immediately after the end of the test.
The result can be viewed in the participant portal. You can download your certificate there as a PDF file.
